I can’t tell you how much this book means to me. It has become a part of my daily routine and thus, my days are all better because of it. Just to hold it in your hands is a treat. Smooth saddle tan leather and pages as thinand gentle as the devotions inside.

The book was compiled in the 20s and is so relevant today. In short, it is a loving dose of “olde tyme religion”. Wonderful uplifting scripture and poems, with soothing solutions for the cares that wash over us.

You want to be sure and order the anniversary leather bound edition in saddle town.

Go to http://www.zondervan.com/cultures/en-us/home.htm and order for $19.95. I now buy them in quantity as gifts for friends.

This is my “miracle dog” Boomer who taught me the miracle of loving animals. In a casual conversation with God one day, I confessed that I had a character flaw because I didn’t really get what all the commotion was about with people and their animals…specifically dogs. My family had a dog…a big romping, licking, panting black Labrador named Digger. He would always come up to me and just look at me with those big limpid black eyes and wait for me to pat him or say something to him. He waited and waited a long long time. So, during my talk to GOD, in an impulsive moment I asked Him to teach me how to love an animal! Well, take a look a look at Boomer…then take a look at me. That is a picture of a woman who received “answered prayer”. Thanks to Boomer, Digger’s prayer was answered too.
